Legal Counsel - Brazil

Your mission

Tracking and interpreting legal and regulatory developments relevant to fintech, PSPs, cryptoassets, and iGaming in Brazil.
Providing actionable legal insights and strategic guidance to internal stakeholders on regulatory risks and obligations.
Managing the formation and maintenance of local legal entities, including governance and structuring matters before key authorities (e.g., BCB).
Leading the preparation and submission of regulatory filings and license applications for payment institutions and virtual asset service providers.
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, partnership agreements, and other legal instruments to support commercial growth.
Coordinating with external legal advisors and regulatory bodies to maintain compliance and secure necessary authorizations.
Supporting cross-functional collaboration with compliance, operations, and finance teams to ensure a unified legal strategy.

Your profile

Law degree from a recognized university with a strong focus on corporate and/or regulatory law.
Minimum 1–2 years of legal experience in the fintech, payment services, crypto, or iGaming sectors.
Solid understanding of the Brazilian legal and regulatory landscape, particularly in relation to payment institutions, VASPs, and Central Bank requirements.
Experience handling cross-border legal matters and supporting licensing processes before financial authorities.
Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills in both Portuguese and English; Spanish is a strong plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to advise business teams with clarity and confidence.
Self-driven and pragmatic, capable of working independently in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
